Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda (in milk)
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 large onion
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    2 or 3 jalapeno peppers
Preparation
    Brown ground beef; drain well.
    Mix together the ingredients listed.
    Pour half of batter in a big skillet.
    Layer meat and remaining corn bread mix.
    Bake slowly at 250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
