Ingredients

1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 stick butter
1 egg
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Beat in egg, peanut butter, salt and soda.
Blend in flour.
Add vanilla.
Roll dough into small balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with a fork.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until slightly brown on edges.
Makes 60 cookies.
