Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. \"Kretschmer\" toasted wheat bran
    2 c. All-Bran cereal
    2 c. boiling water
    4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. melted shortening or oil
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    4 eggs
    5 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. raisins
Preparation
    In a very
    large
    bowl\tcombine
    bran
    and cereal.
    Add boiling water; stir
    to moisten and let stand 10 minutes.
    Add buttermilk.
    Cream shortening
    and sugar.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Add\tto
    bran
    mixture; stir until well blended.
    Mix together flour, soda
    and salt.
    Add raisins to flour mixture. Stir into bran mixture.
    Cover tightly with foil.
    Refrigerate 24 hours.
    Fill
    muffin tins lined with baking cups, 3/4 full. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
