Pecan Pie(From King'S Arms Tavern, Williamsburg, Virginia) - cooking recipe

pastry crust for 9-inch pie
4 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecan halves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Prepare pie shell.
Beat eggs lightly. Add sugar, salt, corn syrup, cooled butter and vanilla; stir until mixed well.
Spread pecan halves on crust.
Cover with filling. Place in oven and immediately reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until firm in the center.
Cool before serving.
