Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. cut up green tomatoes
2 qt. sliced cabbage
3 large onions
2 sweet red peppers
1 tsp. white mustard seed
1/4 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
Preparation

Finely chop tomatoes, cabbage, onions and red peppers. Combine with remaining ingredients in a kettle. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Pour into hot sterile jars; allow 1-inch from lid. Seal jars. Store in cool dark place. Makes 8 pints.
