Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (3 lb. bag) apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped (about 8 c.)
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
Preparation

Put the chopped apples in a crock pot. Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon over the top. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Add vinegar and stir. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking several hours until apples are consistency of apple sauce. Any large pieces of apples can be mashed with a potato masher or a fork. Continue cooking to thicken slightly. Spoon into jars and seal immediately.
