Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo syrup
    1/4 c. butter
    2 c. light cream
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Put
    sugar,
    Karo
    syrup,
    1
    cup
    cream
    and butter in saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it boils; stir constantly. After
    it boils, add remaining cup of cream and boil until soft ball stage, stirring occasionally (sticks easily).\tPour in a buttered
    square
    pan
    with
    1/2
    cup nuts in the bottom (optional).
    Put
    in
    refrigerator, cut in squares and wrap in wax paper.
