Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 c. apples, finely chopped
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Cut shortening into flour until particles are like fine crumbs. Add milk and stir with a fork until dough leaves the side of the bowl.
    Turn out on a lightly floured board.
    Knead just until smooth.
