Angel Crisps Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and coconut.
    Form into balls the size of walnuts. Dip top half in water, then in granulated sugar.
    Bake on ungreased baking sheet.
    Press down in center with fingers.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 6 to 10 minutes.
    Yields 4 dozen.
