Boston Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    In bowl with electric mixer, beat on medium speed the margarine and sugar. Add egg and beat 3 minutes, scraping often. Add to flour mixture alternately with milk and vanilla, beating well.
    Pour into pans. Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0. Spring test for doneness. Remove to rack. Cool completely.
