Ingredients

1/2 c. oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
1 egg
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation

Cut up dates and put in big skillet. Add oleo and sugar.
Cook until dissolved, stirring constantly.
Beat egg and add to mixture. Cook until done (4 to 5 minutes). Add vanilla.
Pour over Rice Krispies and pecans; stir until mixed.
Cool until you can handle. Grease hands with oleo and lightly press into balls. Roll in coconut.
