Polskie Krusciki(Angel Wings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 oz. brandy
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. flour
    powdered sugar
    deep fat (for frying; try peanut oil)
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks until lemon colored.
    Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
    Beat well.
    Add brandy and cream of tartar. Beat well.
    Add flour until dough doesn't stick to hands.
    Roll very thin and cut into pieces 3 x 1-inches.
    Slit each piece in the center and pull one end through.
    Fry in hot oil until lightly brown.
    Turn once.
    Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Makes about 2 dozen.
