Maine'S Melt-In-Your-Mouth Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 beaten egg yolks
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 beaten egg whites
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. blueberries, dredged in flour
Preparation

Cream together shortening, sugar and egg yolks.
Sift dry ingredients three times.
Beat egg whites stiff and set aside.
Add milk and flour mixture alternately to egg yolk/sugar mixture. Add vanilla.
Fold in egg whites.
Fold in blueberries.
Spread batter in 9 x 9-inch greased pan and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
