Charlotte Russe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. skim milk
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 c. instant nonfat dry milk powder
    2 egg whites
    1/4 c. sugar
    vegetable cooking spray
    8 vanilla wafers
    fresh strawberries (optional)
Preparation
    Combine gelatin, 2 tablespoons sugar and skim milk in a small saucepan.
    Let stand 1 minute.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin dissolves.
    Stir in almond extract. Chill until consistency of unbeaten egg white.
