Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut in small pieces
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. water, divided
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 to 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Brown steak in hot oil.
    Add soy sauce, salt and 1/4 c. water.
    Cover and cook 45 minutes.
    Add peppers and onions and cook for 15 minutes.
    Combine cornstarch and 1 cup water.
    Stir into steak mixture.
    Cook until slightly thick.
    Serve steak over hot cooked rice.
    Yield: 4 servings.
