Fiesta Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. mashed, ripe bananas
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Stir shortening just to soften; add sugar.
    Then sift in 4 dry ingredients, 1/4 cup milk and bananas, mixing until well blended. Add eggs, nuts and remaining milk.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until well blended again.
    Pour into layer pans and bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
