Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
4 c. flour
8 Tbsp. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
6 medium bananas
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream the sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and vanilla.
Add flour and buttermilk mixed with soda.
Alternate adding mashed bananas and nuts.
Spoon mixture into four 1-pound coffee cans that have been well greased and floured.
Fill each half full. Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
Cool before putting lids on.
May be frozen.
