Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 large outer leaves from white cabbage
    3 lb. lean ground beef
    1 1/2 c. pitted prunes, diced
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/3 c. uncooked rice
    2 medium onions
    1 carrot, grated
    3 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. tomato puree
    3 c. water
Preparation
    Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil.
    Drop in the cabbage leaves; blanch for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Remove from the pot, rinse in cool water and drain.
