Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. milk
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped peanuts
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar and well-beaten egg.
Stir in milk and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients (salt, flour and baking powder) and add gradually.
Stir in peanuts.
Place on buttered cookie sheet by teaspoon.
Bake in moderate oven for 8 minutes.
