Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz. pkg.)
Preparation

Cream Crisco, brown sugar, water and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
Blend until creamy.
Blend in eggs.
Add flour, baking soda and salt.
Mix until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop rounded measuring tablespoon 2-inches apart onto ungreased sheet. Bake one baking sheet at a time at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes.
Cool on baking sheet 2 to 4 minutes.
