Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nut meats
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup and water until sugar dissolves, then cook over low heat without stirring to hard ball stage (265\u00b0).
    Test by dropping a few drops in a cup of cold water.
    Meanwhile beat egg whites and salt until stiff but still moist.
    Slowly pour hot syrup over egg whites.
    Continue beating until it begins to thicken.
    Add vanilla and nuts; drop by teaspoon on waxed paper.
