Florida Squash Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash, cut up
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. dry breadcrumbs
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    1/4 c. pimientos, chopped and drained
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Cook squash in small amount of water until tender; drain.
    Add margarine and mash.
    Combine remaining ingredients, except breadcrumbs and pecan halves.
    Add to squash.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart buttered casserole. Top with breadcrumbs; dot with margarine.
    Garnish with pecan halves.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
