Lemon Gelatin Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. lime jello
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 can mandarin oranges, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. lemon-lime soda
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in water.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy.
    Stir in jello mixture.
    Beat until smooth. Add vanilla oranges, pineapple, soda and pecans.
    Chill until mixture mounds slightly.
    Fold Cool Whip in.
    Spoon into 13 x 9-inch dish.
    Chill for 3 to 4 hours until firm.
    Cut into squares and garnish with remaining topping.
    Yields 16 to 20 squares.
