Cake-Type Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 sq. chocolate
    2 well beaten eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. each: baking powder and salt
    1 c. broken walnuts
Preparation
    Melt shortening with chocolate in microwave or over low heat; stir.
    Cool.
    Stir sugar into beaten eggs, then chocolate mixture and vanilla.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Bake in greased 8 x 8-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
