Macaroni Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. elbow macaroni
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    4 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. mustard
    1 tsp. butter
    3/4 c. mayonnaise
    onion as you like
    celery as you like
    sweet pickle cubes as you like
    green pepper (optional)
    paprika
Preparation
    Boil macaroni for 12 minutes.
    Do not overcook.
    Rinse well with cold water.
    In heavy saucepan, cook together until thickened sugar, vinegar, eggs, salt, mustard and butter.
    Cool then add mayonnaise.
    Stir into macaroni.
    Add as much onion, celery and sweet pickle cubes as you like.
    Use green pepper if you want to. Sprinkle well with paprika before stirring for color.
    Sprinkle on top before chilling.
    Best if refrigerated overnight before serving.
