Italian Torta(A-La-Venito) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 pkg. unsalted soda crackers
    1 qt. milk, lukewarm
    3 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. brandy
    1/2 c. fruit mix
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Crush crackers fine; add lukewarm milk and refrigerate overnight.
    Next morning in separate bowl, beat eggs well, adding sugar, vanilla and brandy.
    Combine this with cracker mixture.
    If thick, add small amount of milk to consistency of cake batter. Add fruit mix, raisins and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour in a well-greased pan.
    Test middle of cake for doneness.
    Remove from oven and when slightly cooled, sprinkle with sugar.
