7-Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 head lettuce
    1 onion, sliced or bunch of scallions
    1/4 c. chopped celery
    1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 (1 lb.) bag frozen cauliflower, thawed
    1 (1 lb.) bag frozen broccoli, thawed
    mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    Parmesan cheese to taste
    6 slices crumbled bacon
    4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    diced tomatoes
Preparation
    Layer the first 7 ingredients in salad bowl in order given. Spread mayonnaise or salad dressing to cover.
    Sprinkle sugar and Parmesan cheese to taste.
    Top with crumbled bacon and chopped eggs.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Toss before serving and add diced tomatoes.
