Penuche - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. soft butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped peanuts
Preparation

In a pot, combine sugar, brown sugar, milk and salt.
Cook slowly until sugar dissolves and mixture forms soft ball.
Remove from heat.
Drizzle butter over top; do not combine.
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Blend in vanilla and peanuts.
Place mixture in a greased pan; let stand until firm.
Yields 1 1/2 pounds.
