Pumpkin Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar (white)
    1/2 c. shortening with 1/2 butter
    1 1/2 c. pumpkin, mashed
    2 c. flour
    1 c. white raisins
    1 c. nuts (walnuts), chopped
    1 c. green and red cherries (candied)
    1 c. green and red pineapple (candied)
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. each cloves and ginger
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, beating light and fluffy.
    Blend in pumpkin.
    Sift together dry ingredients to mixture, stirring until thoroughly blended.
    Fold in nuts, raisins, cherries and pineapple candies.
    Spoon evenly into greased floured bread loaf pan.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
