Fresh Apple Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    2 large cooking apples or firm ripe pears
    1 c. sour cream or low-fat sour cream
    1 egg or 1/4 c. egg substitute
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix dry cake mix, margarine, brown sugar and cinnamon until crumbly.
    Reserve 2/3 cup.
    Press remaining crumbly mixture in bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch rectangular pan.
    Arrange apple slices on mixture in pan.
    Beat sour cream and egg until blended; spread over mixture.
    Sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
    Cool.
    Serves 16.
