Ingredients

12 graham crackers, crushed (1 c.)
1/2 c. crushed pineapple, maraschino cherries or other canned fruit, chopped and drained
1/2 c. chopped dates
2 Tbsp. soft butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation

Mix together all the ingredients except the ice cream.
Line an ice cube tray or loaf pan with waxed paper.
(An 8 x 8-inch square pan can be used if recipe is doubled.) Press half of the mixture into the tray. Add the ice cream.
Cover with remaining crumb mixture. Store in the freezing unit of refrigerator until serving time.
Makes 8 servings.
