Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 gal. popped corn
    2 c. parched peanuts
    2 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    3 c. white sugar
    1 c. white Karo
    3 tsp. salt
    2 sticks butter
    2/3 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Keep corn and peanuts in 250\u00b0 oven.
    I use a metal dishpan. Combine all ingredients except vanilla.
    Cook over medium heat to hard cracked stage (pour strands of hot syrup in glass of cold water to check).
    Add vanilla and peanuts to syrup.
    Pour syrup over corn and mix quickly.
    Pour on foil sprayed with Pam.
    Spread and make into large pieces with 2 buttered forks.
    Store in airtight container.
