Fruited Chocolate Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) baked chocolate or yellow cake layer
    1 1/2 c. cold milk
    1 (3.5 oz.) pkg. chocolate instant pudding or pie filling mix
    2 c. whipping cream, whipped
    2 c. sliced fresh strawberries
    2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
    1 Tbsp. sliced almonds
    8 strawberries, if desired
Preparation
    Cut cake into 1 inch cubes; set aside.
    In small bowl, combine milk and pudding mix; beat a low speed 1 to 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken.
    fold 1 1/2 cups of the whipped cream into pudding.
    Spoon about 1/3 of the pudding mixture into bottom of 2 1/2-quart straight-sided glass serving bowl.
    Add 1/3 of the fruits and 1/3 of the cake cubes.
    Repeat layers two more times.
    Pipe or dollop remaining whipped cream over top layer of cake cubes.
    Garnish with sliced almonds and strawberries.
    Store in refrigerator.
