Raspberry Meringue Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter (room temperature)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
2 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
1 (10 oz.) jar seedless raspberry jam
4 egg whites (room temperature)
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. finely chopped walnuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Cream the butter, 1/2 cup of sugar and egg yolks in food processor with metal blade or in a mixing bowl with electric mixer until well blended.
Add flour and mix until incorporated. Pat the dough into bottom of prepared pan.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
Remove from oven (leave oven on).
Cool pastry for 5 minutes and spread with jam.
