German Cole Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. cabbage, sliced
1 large onion, grated
1 large carrot, grated
2 scant c. sugar
1 c. apple cider vinegar
1 scant c. vegetable oil
1 heaping tsp. celery seed
Preparation

In large bowl, mix cabbage, onion and carrot. Set aside. Boil for 3 minutes the sugar and vinegar. Cool mixture by placing pan in sink in cold water. Add oil and celery seed. Pour marinade over vegetables and allow to sit out for about 6 hours, stirring occasionally. If made in the morning, store in refrigerator by evening.
