Sue Bailey'S Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sugar, browned in skillet
1 c. milk
1 pinch soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. white Karo
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter or margarine
2 to 4 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Bring 4 cups sugar and 1 cup milk to a boil, then add the browned sugar, Karo, soda and salt.
Boil until it reaches the soft ball stage on candy thermometer.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Continue stirring until mixture is thick and then drop on wax paper.
Makes 50 to 70 pieces.
