Keep Forever Slaw - I - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head of cabbage
1 stalk of celery
1 carrot
1 onion
1 green pepper
7/8 c. + 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. black or white pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. cider vinegar
3/4 c. oil
Preparation

Shred vegetables to your liking.
Toss vegetables together and put in a bowl with a tight fitting lid.
Pour 7/8 cup of sugar over vegetables and set aside.
Add remaining ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Let dressing mixture cool and pour over vegetables.
Do not stir.
Cover slaw mixture and refrigerate for 24 hours or more.
Stir when ready to serve.
Keeps well for several days.
