Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    1/2 tsp. salt
    8 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. additional sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. rum extract
Preparation
    Beat 2/3 c. sugar into egg yolks; add salt, stir in milk and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes.
    Cool.
    Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add in 6 Tbsp. sugar, beating to soft peaks.
    Add to cooked custard and mix thoroughly.
    Add flavoring.
    Chill 3-4 hours.
