Brisket Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 lb. brisket
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 medium onions
    4 carrots
    4 potatoes
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Place in a large skillet.
    Brown meat on fat side over high heat. While meat is browning, pare carrots and potatoes. Cut in chunks. Slice onions.
    Remove meat and place in large roasting pan.
    Add onions to skillet.
    Saute until golden brown.
    Spoon onions over meat.
    Surround meat with vegetables.
    Add 1 cup water.
    Roast covered 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until meat is done.
