Strawberry-Fig Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. peeled figs
    6 c. sugar
    4 small pkg. strawberry jello
    1/2 c. water
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Dissolve jello into water.
    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
    Cook over low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Stir occasionally.
    Pack in jars.
