Peanut Butter Crisps(Student Favorite) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 c. salted peanuts
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix cereal and peanuts; set aside.
    Combine sugar and syrup. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
    Immediately pour hot syrup mixture over cereal mixture, stirring to coat the cereal.
    Pat cereal evenly into a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Cool and cut into 2-inch bars.
    Makes 16.
