Vera Jones' Easy Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm water (not hot, 110~ to 115~)
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. soft shortening (Crisco)
    1 egg
    3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    In bowl, dissolve yeast in water.
    Add salt, sugar, shortening and half the flour to yeast.
    Beat vigorously until smooth.
    Mix in remaining flour.
    Knead on floured board until smooth.
    Place, greased side up, in greased bowl.
    Cover with damp cloth.
    Place in refrigerator (use within 48 hours).
