Nevelle'S Buttermilk Pound Cake(Serves 12) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    5 eggs
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 Tbsp. hot water
    1/4 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1/4 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream sugar, eggs and shortening.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
    Add soda and flavoring.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours in a greased and lightly floured Bundt pan.
