1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 large orange
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. flour
pinch salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg white
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grate and squeeze the rind and juice from the orange and lemon and keep separate (lemon is used for the icing).
Cream sugar and butter.
Add orange juice, orange rind, and egg yolk.
Mix. Stir in baking soda into the sour cream.
Add to mixture.
Combine flour, salt, and baking powder and add to mixture.
Beat the egg white and fold in last.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
