Ingredients

2 c. butter (1 lb.)
2 c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal (put small amount into blender until it turns to powder; measure the oatmeal before blending)
1 tsp. salt (optional)
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. bag chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts (your choice)
Preparation

Cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar together.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture.
Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and chopped nuts.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets.
Make golf ball size cookies and place 2 inches apart; bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 7 minutes, depending on your oven.
