Sugar Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. oleo
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream sugar and oleo; add eggs and mix well.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Add just enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Mix well.
    Pour dough into 18 x 12 x 1-inch pan, spreading dough to outer edges of pan.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0, testing to not overbake.
    Cut into bars or squares.
