Hamburger-Rice Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. hamburger
3/4 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ground thyme
1/8 tsp. oregano
4 c. cooked or canned tomatoes
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. instant rice
6 to 8 stuffed olives, sliced
2 or 3 slices American cheese, cut into 1/2-inch strips
Preparation

Brown meat and onions; stir in seasonings, tomatoes, soup and rice.
Add 1/2 of olives.
Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour into casserole; top with crisscrossed cheese strips.
Broil until cheese has melted.
Sprinkle with remaining olives.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
