Sour Cream Noodle Bake - cooking recipe

1 (8 oz.) pkg. medium noodles
1 lb. ground beef
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. creamed cottage cheese (8 oz.)
1 c. dairy sour cream
6 green onions, chopped
3/4 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Cook noodles in boiling salted water according to package directions.
Rinse and drain.
Brown meat in butter; add salt, pepper and garlic, then tomato sauce.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, onions and noodles.
In a 2-quart casserole, alternate layers of noodle mixture and meat mixture, beginning with noodle mixture and ending with meat mixture.
Top with shredded cheese.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.
Serves 6 to 8.
