Red Cabbage (Sweet Sour) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small head red cabbage
2 green apples
3 Tbsp. fat (sausage fat)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
3 to 4 Tbsp. vinegar or more to taste
Preparation

Cut cabbage in quarters; discard core and shred finely until there are about three pints.
Peel, core and slice apples.
Melt fat in skillet and when hot, add cabbage and apple.
Cover with boiling water.
Add salt and pepper; cook until tender.
Sprinkle brown sugar and flour over the top.
Add vinegar and cook 10 minutes longer.
Serve hot.
