Ingredients

2 c. butter
3 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs and extracts.
Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.
Add gradually to creamed dough.
Chill. Roll in flour if too rich.
Roll out to 1/2 or 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut out to desired shapes, using cookie cutters.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes only on lightly greased cookie sheet.
